讲员简介和演讲内容提要


陈东东教授:
    Dongdong Chen received her Ph.D. in linguistics from McGill University, Canada, and her M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Languages, China. She is Associate Professor at the Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures, Seton Hall University, where she teaches Chinese to undergraduate students, and Chinese Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Methods of Teaching Chinese\Japanese and other courses to graduate students. Her areas of interest include syntax, L2 acquisition, Chinese teaching pedagogy, teacher education, and technology-assisted Chinese teaching. She has published on each of the above areas. She is co-author of 50 Activities for the International Chinese Classroom, The Chopsticks-Fork Principle x 2: A Bilingual Reader, The Course for Cross-Cultural Communication, and co-editor of and contributor to the volume Linguistics. Currently, Dongdong is Director of Chinese Program, and Director of Graduate Program in Asian Studies. She was Chair for the Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures, Seton Hall University from 2016 to 2019. She has served as Chairperson of New Jersey Chinese Culture Studies Foundation since 2012, and President of Chinese Language Teachers Association of Greater New York since 2016.


演讲内容提要:
    本讲座将讨论以下几个问题:中文作为传承语言教学的目标是什么?对于以中文作为传承语言的学习者来说,学习中文会遇到哪些困难?从事中文传承语言教学的教师可以尝试哪些教学策略和方法?讲座通过实例重点分析探究 (1) 如何将中文教学变得生动有趣以提高学习者的学习动机; (2) 如何在课堂中运用教学活动培养学习者的语言交际能力。提高学习者的学习动机并加强其交际能力的培养是中文作为传承语言教学的两大关键。
